In the crowded headphone market, aside from great sound, products often need another feature to stand out. And that's exactly what the MorningBlues wireless headphones VWS X1 have with their unique, fashionable and personalized detachable 2.2-inch OLED touchscreens on each earcup.

They are promoted by MorningBlues as the world’s first headphones with detachable screens. These are the first I’ve seen or heard of, so I’m not going to dispute that claim. Add to that, they also have great sound and many other attractive features.

The 1.3-inch OLED touchscreens are integrated into each ear cup for a truly interactive, customizable experience. You can display and upload your own personal images, text or video to the OLED screens. There’s no limit; it can be pictures of your favorite artists, lyrics, pictures of family members or pets -- whatever you want displayed.

MorningBlues also has a gallery of vibe portraits to choose from. Each display can glow at night, making them really stand out. If you don’t want them on, since they are held on magnetically, you can just remove them. Each display measures 2.2 by 2.2 by 0.35 inches with HD clarity.

With the MorningBlues companion app, the displays can be customized with your digital files, including how they are displayed and rotated. The app also controls brightness and many audio features.

While the displays are innovative and allow you to show off your personalization, if they didn’t have great sound, you wouldn’t want these headphones. But they shine in the sound category at any volume level across all my playlist categories. Each padded earcup has a 40mm dynamic driver, powered by Jamo and a Qualcomm advanced audio chipset. The adjustable headband and earcups have a silver finish.

All the on-ear controls were responsive for changing modes (normal/off, active noise cancellation, and transparent). The ANC worked well in blocking outside noise.

The Bluetooth 5.4 headphones have multipoint connectivity. The headphones are listed to run for 60 hours, and the displays run independently for 9 hours before a charge is needed. The displays are charged with the included portable charging case. There’s no IP rating, so please don’t take them for a swim.

Airdog says it well on their site that you can't control the environments you go into, but you can clear the air around you.

Not only will this be ideal in your vehicle, but also consider it when traveling and when you get into rental cars or hotel rooms that have been smoked in. You can take it to work, the gym or just keep it sitting next to you at home; the uses are endless. It's rated to work in your personal space of up to 35 square feet. For car use, it will clear a standard-sized vehicle every 10 minutes.

The eco- and cost-friendly filter is washable, which in itself is a big thing. That avoids filter subscription fees, which I’ve seen on similar devices.

There are a few ways to use it; the power and modes are activated with buttons and toggle switches. In addition to being cup holder-friendly, it stands on a flat surface or can be angled up to 60 degrees.

I got stuck on the auto mode, where the Aircap will turn on automatically when there is motion or off if it has been still for 15 minutes. Obviously, in manual mode, it will work whenever you turn it on. Aside from the modes, there are three speeds: low, normal and turbo, all of which are relatively quiet.
