Capricorn Season Grand Opening

Holiday Mathis on

Welcome to the last push to finish the year strong. The Mars retrograde has decided to provide an extra layer to the experience. The downside is wrenches in the works, tools that break, people behaving undependably and more. The upside is that a pause can be a wake-up call, causing us to question what work is really worth doing and why.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). So, life isn't fair, but the division of chores can be! One person doing all the work will lead to resentment. Today's the day to check if everyone's pulling their weight and reset to a more equitable balance.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). In daily life, you do dozens, if not hundreds, of small things to keep it all moving along. Treat yourself right. Every time you treat yourself right, feed someone, help others get where they're going and the like, it's a triumph.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Others may not hear the same song as you. So when the song you're hearing and the dance you're getting don't jive, this could be the explanation. Whether you get to the bottom of it or simply offer up some grace, you'll make things lovelier.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Today you have the potential to read the signs better than the Oracle at Delphi herself. Take all feedback as constructive, whether it has that tone or not. It's just information and all applicable.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). One difference between a bouquet of wild roses and a bouquet of dandelions is that the dandelions are soft, peppery and edible, though without value at the florist shop, and the roses can draw blood. What's expensive requires sacrifice.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You find yourself in the midst of unwanted dynamics, doing your best to squeeze goodness out of it. That's no small feat. In the middle of obligations, to still search for joy and purpose? That takes resilience. Give yourself credit.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). From the stripes of a zebra to the difference between night and day, contrast helps us see. Today you'll be reminded that the negative space is as much a part of the silhouette as the object itself.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). The problem in your head isn't an illusion without basis in reality, but it might be a distortion. You can get it into a manageable size by asking for lots of input. It's like you're shopping around for perspectives and buying the one that fits.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Asking for anything means you're in need of it, which automatically puts you in a down position. Conjure up a state of mind that affirms a take-it-or-leave-it attitude and you will end up in the "take it" position.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Letting go can be easy or hard, depending on the timing. You don't want a thing to drop from you because you can't hold it. The best scenario is to send things with love. The vibe is: It wasn't easy, it wasn't hard, it was just time.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You apply the golden rule of service to matters of love: To be well served, you first serve others with care and intention. This generosity becomes a catalyst for deeper connection.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Energy is zinging around you, and you can close or open yourself up to it at any time. If you're unsure, just say no. Because the right offers of engagement will be irresistible -- not cheap like distractions but intriguing like possible pursuits of passion.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Dec. 21). Your heart will be an inspiration this year and you'll create circle upon interlocking circle of kindness and mutual support. Love inspires others to mirror your approach. It's through this exchange that relationships flourish, rich with warmth and trust. More highlights: a fun secret, something you build then reveal to the astonishment of many and a drop of money at just the right moment. Aquarius and Pisces adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 30, 16, 3 and 21.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Born into show business, with over 100 credits to his name, Kiefer Sutherland leads with the adventurous and dynamic spirit of his sun sign. From cult films like "The Lost Boys" to his recent forays into streaming television, Sutherland seamlessly transitions between genres and mediums with the ambition and work ethic of his natal Venus in Capricorn. Sagittarians love exploration, both physical and intellectual, and diverse environments.
