Chicago Blackhawks right wing Tyler Bertuzzi completed a hat trick 1:18 into overtime, and the Vegas Golden Knights lost their fifth straight game 3-2 at the United Center Sunday.
Bertuzzi poked home a loose puck off the transition chance. The play was reviewed for offside, but it was upheld.
Knights captain Mark Stone tied a career high by finding the back of the net for four consecutive games. Stone has recorded a point in 21 of 24 games he’s appeared in.
Brandon Saad scored his second goal of the season, and goaltender Akira Schmid finished with 17 saves as the Knights (17-11-12) lost for the eighth time in their last nine games.
Chicago (17-18-7) played the second night of a back-to-back after winning 3-2 in a shootout at the Washington Capitals on Saturday. The Blackhawks won their third straight.
