Dessert -- Lemon Pound Cake

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
3 cups all purpose flour, sifted
One quarter tsp. salt
One half tsp. baking powder
One quarter tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 tsp. almond extract
2 tsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and sour cream, beat well. Add dry ingredients and beat well. Blend in lemon, almond and vanilla extracts into mixture. Place mixture in a well greased, well-floured tube pan. Bake for 1 and one half hours. Cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting and serving.

 

The Skinny: Remember, its called pound cake for a reason. Actually, you can use your favorite egg and sugar substitutes and save a pound or two.
