What it’s about: A table tennis phenom in 1952 New York City wants to become the greatest player in the world.
The kid attractor factor: This is a drama for adult audiences, not much appeal for younger ones.
Good lessons/bad lessons: You can try and change your fate all you want, but the universe has its own plans.
Violence: Some terrifying situations, threats, random violence, shooting, stabbing.
Language: Swearing throughout.
Sex: A couple of sex scenes, some nudity.

What it’s about: The true story of Lighting and Thunder, a Milwaukee-based Neil Diamond tribute band that experienced stranger than fiction tragedy.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Chasing dreams is a worthy endeavor at any time.
Violence: Random acts of violence and bodily injury.
Language: Swearing and strong language.
Sex: References to sex and a few intimate moments. No nudity.
Drugs: Prescription pill abuse.
Parents’ advisory: A bit mature for younger kids but fine for teens.
