DETROIT — Two people are dead and one other person was wounded in a shooting Wednesday night in Washtenaw County, officials said.

They also said three suspects in the triple shooting are in custody.

Northfield Township police were called at about 8:30 p.m. to a home in the 2000 block of Nollar Bend Road near U.S. 23 and East North Territorial Road for a report of shots fired, authorities said. The township is about 10 miles north of Ann Arbor.

Officers arrived and found two people who were deceased and another person who was wounded inside the home, they said. All three had gunshot wounds.

Police said the wounded victim was taken to a hospital and listed in critical condition.

Investigators said they learned two children had been abducted from the home after the shooting.

Northfield Township police said the children were recovered and taken to a hospital to be evaluated.

They also said they arrested three suspects with help from Ann Arbor police, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office, and Michigan State Police. All three suspects are being held at the Washtenaw County Jail awaiting charges, they said.

Officials said the investigation into the incident is ongoing and is not releasing additional information at this time.
